Some people allow obstacles to stand in the way of their success, while others are more inspired by challenges.  Kebra Moore, vocal talent and classical operatic singer is the type of person who lives life to the fullest, regardless of circumstances. Having been involved in a motor vehicle accident on Christmas Eve 1999, she was left paralyzed in her lower extremities, yet her injuries only pushed her further to fulfill her passion for music. With the release of “Never Let Him Go,” her brand new Single from her EP "Under The Influence coming June 2014, Songstress, Writer and Musician Kebra Moore has made a grand entrance into the national and international gospel music scene bringing her unique, refreshing sound to the urban gospel landscape.

Rather than allowing the accident to keep her from achieving all that life had in store for her, Kebra adopted a philosophy that focuses on “Ability not Disability.” As testament to her success, one of her songs titled “He’ll Make a Way” was featured on President Barack Obama’s documentary soundtrack BECOMING BARACK: Evolution of a Leader.  Moreover, her debut single “Beautiful” captures the beauty in all humanity. To quote Kebra: "Beautiful" declares that the time has come to reflect on and be proud of who you are.  No longer conforming to the images of what man has considered as being successful and beautiful, it is important to embrace the beauty, talent, style, and character that celebrates the "YOU" God has so gracefully created.”  Based on her philosophy, Kebra has made it her mission to raise awareness not only for service members or people with physical or mental disabilities, but primarily addressing the youth and young women all over the world about the importance of living life based on god's word.

Recognized for her beautiful voice, Kebra blessedly had the opportunity to appear on Dr. Bobby Jones’ Gospel Hour in addition to having her video "Beautiful" appear on B.E.T., TBN, and many national and local TV networks across the nation.  Kebra' accomplishments has also been mentioned in F.A.M.U.'s African American studies text entitled: "From Imagining to Understanding the African American Experience". In addition to promoting a message of self-esteem and reflection, her single “Beautiful” has also been nominated for several gospel awards.  Kebra's song "Troubles" was nominated for B.E.T's Music Award for Best Gospel Song and Video.  Kebra’s sophomore album titled" Under the Influence” will be released in 2014.

Adding to her long line of credits, Kebra has become actively involved in “The Beautiful Campaign,” which places attention on motivational speaking and singing appearances at churches and women's conferences. Throughout the U.S. starting in January 2014 through December 2014, Kebra plans on personally attending spinal cord injury hospitals/rehabilitation centers and disability expos where she will host a patient spa day focusing on education and beautification. The primary goal of “The Beautiful Campaign” is to educate people on the endless possibilities that are available to those who have suffered injury or low self-esteem while at the same time restoring a sense of pride and self-esteem in those whose self image has been battered.

Kebra is a graduate of Claflin University in South Carolina where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education.  She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
